A shocking discovery surfaced today regarding Republican Gubernatorial hopeful Pete Snyder, the founder and former Chief Executive Officer of New Media Strategies–voters learned his company was paid at least $17,500 to consult for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in 2006.

Snyder, who continued his role as CEO of New Media Strategies until 2011, is currently seeking the Republican nomination for Governor and billing himself as a “Conservative Outsider” in the race. After leaving New Media Strategies he was appointed by Governor Bob McDonnell as his VA Victory Chairman in 2012. Following this role, he announced his run for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, but was defeated by 2013 LG nominee E.W. Jackson at the Republican Convention.

The recent revelation of Snyder’s consulting work for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has caused deep concern among activists who remember 2006 as the year Nancy Pelosi took over the House of Representatives and became Speaker for the first time. Snyder continues to be a contentious figure in the 2021 Gubernatorial election contest among Republicans.

However, one thing is clear in this contest, Pete Snyder is no outsider to either party.
